Good question Si,
Looking like it's coming from S. XC is predicting it will
drop off about lunchtime too
It's feeling a bit milder so might get an hour before the
hands totally freeze.
I'm tied into Tynemouth carnage this evening so it could be
late morning for me....drop me a text in the moro

I chased the wind around for a while today. Blyth looked a bit gusty and messy, D Bay boardwalk better but bit too shore breaky for the only board I had with me. Whitley Bay links looked the best, flat water blastinggalore, a bit gusty inshore but looked stronger out the back, and it's close to home. I'll follow the crowdif there is one , but will hit whitley on my lonesome otherwise.

Not really the session I was looking for
I ended up going out on my own again, on a 4.7 and tried my newly purchased board from
ebay (Tabou da curve 73lts 2007). Not exactly the nicest of conditions, too on shore
for my liking, and found it hard getting out before hitting the reef.
I've tried a different position for the cam. This one is allot better but next time it
will be mast mounted at the top.

Happy birthday Joe and no forward loop attempts, not really right conditions.

Better footage Si, not much action though? Is it a GoPro
you've got? I've just scored one and have been told the
best attachment point is band in the middle of the clew
with a wide angle lens so that you can capture both sides
of the sail, great for duck gybes and anything clew first
How did the Tabou work out for you? Bit slower off the
mark than the Evo? I'm toying with a Quatro Tempo but
will probably just get another FSW as the conditions
don't really warrant a dedicated wave board up here...
Wasn't my official bday although Saturday nights in the
Barca can often produce some bday-esque antics! haha

Simon, nice shots!
I couldnt help notice you use a roller spreader bar... I'm tempted to get one, what do you think of them and why'd you get one, pros cons?

The roller spreader was on my old harness and I thought would give it a go on my new
harness. I like the smoothness, the easy transactions hooking in and out and being able to
transfer my body weight easier to go upwind etc. I would say the only con I find is you
don't get that same secure feeling as you do with a recreational hook. Hope this helps?
Si
